Dr. Oscar Perez
Military Medical Director
Dr. Oscar Petez has served active duty military, veterans, and their families for over 30 years in an inpatient hospital setting and outpatient clinic. He is familiar with formulary and diagnosis protocols for the department of defense and the veteran’s affairs.
He has been recognized by Tricare for his dedication and provider services. Dr. Perez has dedicated most of his profession to serving those who serve our country and he understands the unique needs required by military mental health providers. Dr Perez is a board-certified and licensed physician in both Texas and New Mexico and has been practicing in the community since 1985. He graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico then continued his education completing his Psychiatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine.
He is a current member of the American Psychiatric Association (where he is the Hispanic representative and a Life Fellow), Southwest Association of Hispanic American Physicians, and The Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians.
